Technology Sector Transformation, PT Semen Gresik Receives INDI 4.0 2024 Award from Ministry of Industry RI
Rembang, October 2nd 2024 – Consistently implementing the sustainability of the technology sector, PT Semen Gresik Rembang Factory successfully obtained the INDI 4.0 award in 2024 in the category of sustainable technology from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia.
The prestigious appreciation was handed over directly by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, to the President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi in the Ballroom of The Ritz - Carlton Jakarta, Tuesday (1/10).
The award is given to companies that have successfully transformed towards the industrial era 4.0, in increasing productivity, efficiency, and production capacity, by utilizing technology.
President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi, said that this achievement is proof of the company's vision of becoming a pioneer in the Cement Industry in creating sustainable value through the acceleration of environmentally friendly technology.
“We hope that success like this does not stop here, but Semen Gresik continues to transform 4.0 in all lines to achieve Operation Excellence and Act with Customer,” he said.
Another advantage after receiving this certification, he continued, PT Semen Gresik was recognized as a company that participated in the “making 4.0” program from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and became 1 of dozens of companies in Indonesia that had an INDI 4.0 score> 3.0.
Meanwhile, in a speech from the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, explained that this year the Rintisan Teknologi Industri (Rintek) award was given to 21 innovations from 2023 and 2024. The innovations were selected through a rigorous selection process from hundreds of proposals submitted by various companies.
“These innovations have proven to be able to increase industrial efficiency by 11-48%, and we continue to encourage more innovations to be born from the domestic industry. We hope that by continuing to encourage innovation and technology, Indonesia can continue to improve its competitiveness in the global arena,” Agus concluded.
